Greetings from Atlanta-Hartsfield airport. One never quite knows what surprises await. With the snow storm a-brewing and
all those caucus visitors vying (or is it dying?) to get out of Iowa on Tuesday we decided we
had better miss the caucuses and leave early.
Easier decided than accomplished!
Delta posted their waiver Sunday afternoon and we tried making the
changes. However, since part of the trip
was with another airline (South African Air between Johannesburg and
Swaziland), the changes would have to come from the travel agency. Thanks to Julianne I did hear back from one
of the agents after supper with the news that we could fly at 7:11 am. It was a short night! However, we have made it from Des Moines to
Minneapolis to Atlanta. And in another
hour and a half we should be moving on toward Johannesburg. We will spend two nights there and get to
Swaziland on Thursday as we had planned.
We think that we have a meeting scheduled on Friday with a
representative from Hope Africa, the consultants on the new design and now
implementation from the HIV/AIDS office into a broader umbrella of Social
Development Department for the Anglican Diocese of Swaziland.
Thanks to so many of you for your prayers and well-wishes!
